There are parental controls on Macs. Get the Apple Store Genius Bar to help you with that. Also try goggle and even youtube for a video on how to set up Parental preferences.

If you go to Apple.com there is a Find Out How section with tutorial videos and there is one for the Parental Controls. The other suggestions from Herfnwolf will work as well.
